Shaoyi + Thara

Being avid fans of George Lucas’ greatest work, Shaoyi & Thara knew they had to celebrate the biggest day of their lives in true galactic style, no less! The epic film Star Wars set the foundation for all the creative ideas that were brought to life on their wedding day at the grand John Jacob Ballroom, The St Regis Singapore. The couple had envision elegant decor without tackiness, hence a fine balance had to be drawn and executed with the classic movie series in mind. The groom’s best buddies were geared up in character masks and lightsabers but smartly dressed in their suits as they formed a grand blazing arch for the march-in. The bride looked resplendent in her custom-made Star Wars wedding dress, adorned with gold coloured crystals and sequins. Star Wars bead figures lovingly made by friends of the couple brought a smile to the guests as they basked in the joyous atmosphere of the party. Every table was named and numbered according to Star Wars characters – even the wedding cake was topped with the cutest AT-AT Walkers in bride and groom attire! The galactic mood was overall heightened by plenty of fairy lights, candles, star dust and beautiful white florals. This was truly a Star Wars wedding party that we could never forget!
