Jonathan + Joanna

Such is the love story of Jonathan and Joanna – one of a dark knight in shining armour, sweeping the girl of his dreams off her feet; and the rest, as they say, is history. The kind-spirited and loving pair arrived at Church in a vintage volkswagon kombi van and served their guests with Eurasian cuisine, true to Jonathan’s roots. Accents of the fairy tale wedding included both their fantasies (including the Joanna’s favourite blooms) and the bride even marched-in, donning her mum’s heirloom wedding dress – classy, classique, chic.

“The first thing that struck us about Ode To Joy was their passion for weddings. Our planners really took the time to understand our needs and expectations. Nothing was too big to handle nor too small to overlook. If it was important to us, it was important to them too.

OTJ also contributed a host of amazing decor ideas that we wouldn’t have thought of ourselves. Looking back now, we can safely say that they were all good suggestions. It made our wedding more personalised, fun and beautiful, all without creating more work!

Beyond that, what impressed us the most was their commitment.
