A classy-chic Parisian themed wedding was the focus of Edwin and Monica’s celebration as they romanced the ballroom setting, complete with Eiffel Tower accents, street lamps, perfume bottle-inspired vases, soft candle lightings and romantic floral accompaniments in gentle shades of pink and white. The merriment was livened by the repertoire of French songs by the amazing band and the endless amount of tipple provided by the generous pair. The couple had picked up ballroom dancing from their talented French mentors and perfected the moves in spontaneity, much to the delight of their guests.

“Paris isn’t just a city of romance – it marked the start of the next phase of our life with the wedding proposal accepted under the Eiffel Tower. It holds life-time memories of our pre-wedding shoot in stills and motion. It made a no-brainer to attempt a dream at a Parisien-themed wedding. Truth be told, it was an arduous and far-fetched dream with a mix of procrastination and busy schedule. The 100-day countdown meant we needed professional and passionate “naggers”, “baby-sitters” and planners to ensure the entire wedding dream wasn’t left in tatters.

Our first meeting with Ode To Joy was amazing! The positive vibes were mutual and ideas overflowed in that hour. Liyi is an expert with details – her meticulous nature spared us from embarrassing hiccups umpteenth times. Joan is an absolute machine on idea-generation, original and out-of-the-box. We couldn’t have asked for a better combination of planners, akin a lottery strike! It was easy to make OTJ our choice planners when the other planners we met were comparatively less passionate and creative.

We never had a chance to doubt any of their recommendations – they were experts. We were amateurs with flowers and decorations but when things first came together at our banquet mock-up, we were speechless. In exact words “This is the classiest wedding set-up I’ve ever seen”. The lead-up to the big day couldn’t have been made more comfortable as OTJ kept us on schedule with emails and texts to complete the to-do list. OTJ constantly helped us to keep a vigilant eye on the wedding budget and we were assured this was a realistic dream that could be worked within our budget.

One that had many wedding couples green with envy about was the fact that we could mingle with our friends and family on our big day without having to worry about the liaison with the banquet manager and last-minute stress. We meant every word in our wedding speech that engaging Ode To Joy was an astute choice! Now not only did we had an unforgettable dream wedding, we made awesome friends! Thank you Liyi and Joan!”
